With the Sex And The City reboot officially underway, fans around the world couldn’t be more excited to watch the cast reunite. Luckily for us, we didn’t have to wait too long for the nostalgia to pour in, with the stars sharing behind-the-scenes photos to tide us over until the official air date.
Sarah-Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are back together 20 years on, and it feels like nothing has ever changed.
Parker uploaded a picture of the trio against the New York skyline, captioning it ‘Together again.’ She went on to say that there had been a first read-through with “all the fellas and our newest cast members,” with everything coming together like an “ice-cream sundae.”
Davis commented on the post saying, “Love you forever and ever.”
Earlier in the day, Parker sent fans into a spin when she uploaded an Instagram of the script at the first table read. She commented that her nerves were in a ‘wonderful jumble’ on the day, with a lot of emotions no doubt resurfacing for everyone involved.
It was noted that the script had to be returned at the end of the read-through, as the producers are keen to keep the plot a secret. As for what we do know, the HBO reboot titled And Just Like That, will follow the group as they navigate love and life in their 50s.
Davis also shared a few behind-the-scenes snaps of her own, showing us the elegant dressing room and an overflowing collection of hats and clutches from the costume collection.
‘We are so spoiled. It is a joy,’ she captioned the story.
While fans are still disappointed that Cattrall will not be reprising her role as Samantha, there is no shortage of other stars who will be joining them. In fact, plenty of original faces have already confirmed they will be returning, including Chris Noth and John Corbett in their roles as Mr. Big and Aidan.
Mario Cantone will also be coming back as Charlotte’s good friend Anthony, with Willie Garson returning as the beloved Stanford Blatch. As for the leading ladies love interests, David Eigenberg will resume his role as Steve, with Evan Handler returning as the loveable lawyer Harry Goldenblatt.
If the star-studded cast wasn’t enough to be excited about, these behind-the-scenes photos have certainly done the trick. We can’t wait to see what else they have in store.
