Second Body Found On Serial Killer’s Property

After he confessed to killing seven people and keeping a woman "chained like a dog", police discover another body on Todd Kohlhepp's farm

Police have found a second body buried at the rural property of alleged serial killer Todd Kohlhepp, where a woman was held hostage and “chained like a dog”.

Authorities are scouring the sprawling property near the city of Woodruff, South Carolina, after he confessed to killing seven people.

The first body found on the site on Friday has been identified as David “Charlie” Carver, the boyfriend of Kala Brown, who had found a day earlier in a padlocked metal container “chained like a dog.” She had been kept there for two months.

Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said human remains have again been uncovered in one of the two places that Kohlhepp, a registered sex offender, pointed to as grave sites. “We can’t tell anything about the cause of death, gender or how long or any of that stuff,” Wright said of the second body.

However the Greenville News reported that the body is thought to be one of the two Kohlhepp mentioned when investigators took him back to his property Saturday,

The exhumation of those remains and the search for others will continue at Kohlhepp’s 100 acre farmland property, and beyond into other properties linked to him.

Kohlhepp has already been charged with four gun murders dating back to 2003 and Kidnapping Brown. He might be connected to seven deaths in total, according to Wright.

Scott Ponder, his mother Beverly Guy, service manager Brian Lucas, and mechanic Chris Sherbert were found fatally shot inside Superbike Motorsports in Chesnee, South Carolina, on November 6, 2003.

The case stunned the community and baffled police for more than a decade.

Now, on the 13th anniversary of the murders, the families say Todd Kohlhepp’s arrest will bring them some peace.
