Police in Florida have reportedly opened up an investigation into Samantha Markle for cyberbullying after she allegedly wrote multiple online messages about her half-sister Meghan and Prince Harry.
According to the Daily Mail, police received complaints from multiple countries, including the U.K., Canada, and Sweden, though itโs unclear who exactly contacted authorities. Samanthaโs Twitter account was suspended earlier this year reportedly due to her aggressive behaviour towards the Duchess of Sussex.
โThere have been multiple reports of allegations of cyberbullying made,โ an officer working on the case for Polk County Sheriff Department in Florida told the Sunday Mirror. โSamantha Markle is aware of this allegation. She has not been arrested. This is an ongoing case and I cannot speculate on a timeline yet or make any other comment.โ Under Floria law, cyberbullying can be considered a form of harassment, which is illegal.
The news comes after the Duchess of Sussex opened up about her mental health as a result of the ongoing negative press in Britain, admitting that sheโs โnot okayโ and that she and Prince Harry are currently โexisting, not living.โ
โI really tried to adopt this British sensibility of a โstiff upper lip.โโ she said in a recent documentary. โI really tried, but I think that what that does internally is probably really damaging. I never thought that this would be easy, but I thought it would be fair. And thatโs the part thatโs really hard to reconcile.โ

In early October, Harry and Meghan announced they are taking legal action against the UKโs tabloid media with the Duke of Sussex saying, with reference to his mum Princess Diana, โhis deepest fear history repeating itself.โ
โIโve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditised to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person,โ he wrote. โI lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces.โ
