The 26th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards are in full swing, and with the awards show being comparable in size and membership to the academy, the night is highly regarded as an important precursor award to the Oscars.

As the only televised awards ceremony to exclusively honour performers, the ceremony celebrates the outstanding performances of the last year in film and television across 13 different categories. The first award of the evening was taken out by “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” star Tony Shalhoub for Male Actor in a Comedy Series, with several other notable nominees like Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Laura Dern, Brad Pitt and Renee Zellweger being recognised in their respective categories.
