As Netflix series The Crown continues to reign our Sunday evenings, it was a matter of national importance that two of the show’s famous faces made the nominations list.
Her Majesty Olivia Colman is in the running for Outstanding Performance By A Female Actress In A Drama Series this year whilst onscreen sister, Helena Bonham Carter, is also up for the coveted gong.
Though the power duo aren’t the only ones flying the British flag at this year’s awards, as murderous Liverpudlian Jodie Comer and Phoebe Waller-Bridge of Fleabag fame have also received nods in the starry category.
Across the pond, the Monterey-Come-Hollywood Five – Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley and Zoë Kravitz – are also tipped for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Bring on the selfies.
Doing it for the boys, we have Brad Pitt, Mahershala Ali and Steve Carell ready to pull on their go-to tux.
