CYMI one of our favourite series from the naughties, Sabrina The Teenage Witch is returning to our screens courtesy of a Netflix reboot.
The supernatural teen series, which ran from 1996-2003, started Melissa Joan Hart as the lead witch, Sabrina Spellman. She lived with the kooky Aunt Hilda, Aunt Zelda and talking cat, Salem.
Sabrina The Teenage Witch will be reimagined by Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, but don’t expect too many similarities to the original; this version will be based on the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comic books.
Aguirre-Sacasa, who also wrote the comic books, describes the unnamed new version as, “a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft.
“This adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.”

The cast will also include a few new characters: Jaz Sinclair (as Sabrina’s BFF Rosalind), Michelle Gomez (as Sabrina’s possessed teacher Mary Wardell) and Chance Perdomo (as Sabrina’s cousin Ambrose).
Oh, and our favourite sassy black cat is back too!
