PR mogul Roxy Jacenko has opened up about how her family reacted to *those* photographs of her kissing ex, Nabil Gazal, in April of last year while her husband, Oliver Curtis, was in jail.
Speaking at her In Conversation With Roxy Jacenko event in Sydney, Jacenko spoke of pushing boundaries in both your professional and personal life, reportedly saying “I have perhaps pushed the boundaries too much.”
“It’s important to stay relevant – to stay relevant you have to keep pushing the boundaries,” she said, as per The Daily Mail.
Jacenko, who shares two children with Curtis, went on to say, “I remember vividly walking up to my mother’s apartment which is about eight stairs from my apartment and saying to her: ‘f**k me, I’m in trouble,’ because I had done something really really stupid.”
“I just remember my mother’s face, I literally could’ve picked her jaw up from the floor,” she continued.
“I’ve pushed every f**king boundary in the book – everyone has read about it. But I think I have to take the good with the bad.”
“I think everyone makes mistakes – mine are documented.”
Jacenko has previously spoken about her affair, telling news.com.au it came about because she had no hope for her marriage.
“My marriage in my eyes had come to an end … it had been a seriously tough 12 months,” she said. “We were drunk and stupid and mucking around.”
“I’d spoken to a lawyer about divorce, and [Curtis] knew that. I told him I wasn’t sure what was going to happen in the future … it was without question the worst 12 months of my life.”
She also admitted Oliver was aware of the pictures as the mum-of-two had been “candid” with her husband the whole time.
Since Curtis’ release, the pair has reconciled and are planning to renew their vows.
