Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have split their households up earlier this year, but that doesn’t mean the two couples are finished working together – in fact, overnight they announced a new initiative for something they’re all equally passionate about: mental health.
The royal foursome is supporting Every Mind Matters, a new partnership from Public Health England and the NHS, which is being described as “a new way of empowering people to manage and improve their mental health.”
As well as lending their voices for the trailer below, William, Kate, Meghan, and Harry are voicing a full film about the project, which was written by Richard Curtis and directed by Rankin.
The trailer starts with narration by Prince William: “Everyone knows that feeling, when life gets on top of us.”
“We feel stressed, low, anxious or have trouble sleeping,” he says. “We think there’s nothing that can be done, nothing we can do about it,” Prince Harry continues, before Meghan adds, “But now, there’s a new way to help turn things around. Every Mind Matters will show you simple ways to look after your mental health.”
And finally, Kate says, “It will get you started with a free online plan designed to help you deal with stress, boost your mood, improve your sleep, and feel more in control.”
Glenn Close and Gillian Anderson, who have spoken out about mental health in the past, are among those who join the royals in the black and white clip.
