Award season is in full swing, with the Golden Globes and SAG awards having already taken place, and the Grammy awards within touching distance. But, it wasn’t Lady Gaga’s show-stealing Dior gown or Emily Blunt’s emotional winning speech that got the world talking, it was the BAFTAs, or rather – its guest list.
The British Academy Film and Television Awards is set to return to the Royal Albert Hall on February 10, but it was announced today that it won’t just be A-listers taking to the red carpet, it will be royalty too. Prince William and Kate Middleton have confirmed their attendance.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will attend the #EEBAFTAs Awards ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 10th February,” the official Kensington Palace Twitter account announced this morning.
While it’s not necessarily surprising, considering Prince William is the President of BAFTA, the Duke has been given an extra responsibility this year.
“The Duke, @BAFTA President, and The Duchess will meet BAFTA representatives and watch the ceremony,” the statement continued. “The Duke will also present the Fellowship award.”
We’ll definitely be tuning in!
