Prince Harry and Meghan Markle kicked off their royal tour of Australia yesterday with a bang: announcing they’re expecting their first child together, before debuting Meghan’s baby bump in Sydney.
During an evening reception at Admiralty House, the Duke of Sussex publicly addressed the expansion of his family, saying he “genuinely couldn’t think of a better place to announce the upcoming baby, be it a boy or a girl.”
“Thank you for the incredibly warm welcome and the chance to meet so many Aussies from all walks of life,” the father-to-be said, before thanking everyone for their well wishes.
