Prince Harry stepped out without wife Meghan Markle for an event on Saturday night, and royal fans couldn’t help but ogle the soon-to-be father who was photographed in his British Royal Marines uniform.
The Duke of Sussex is Captain General of the Royal Marines, a role he was given by his grandmother Queen Elizabeth in December 2017. The Duke attended the annual Mountbatten Festival of Music at the Royal Albert Hall in London and opted to wear his impressive uniform for the charity event. The event features musicians and bands from the Royal Marines in aid of charity, with all proceeds going to the Royal Marines Charity and CLIC Sargent.
The Kensington Palace Twitter account shared photos of Harry, captioning: “This evening The Duke of Sussex, Captain General @RoyalMarines is attending the annual Mountbatten Festival of Music, which showcases the @RMBandService and helps raise funds for @TheRMcharity”.

For good reason, royal fans responded on social media, expressing their reactions to the dapper prince in his military uniform.
Its the first time Harry has been publicly spotted in his marines uniform since his royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor to now wife, the Duchess of Sussex. Prince William was also dressed in his uniform on the May 19 wedding, standing alongside wife Kate Middleton.
According to the Royal Family’s official website, the Queen gave Prince Harry the role of Captain General Royal Marines in 2017. Harry took over the role from his grandfather, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
