Just as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gained their freedom from the British monarchy, the Duke of Sussex has been caught out talking about his family and their various scandals after Russian pranksters fooled him into thinking he was talking to climate change activist Greta Thunberg.

According to UK newspaper The Sun, the pair of notorious hoaxers, known as Vovan and Lexus, released the recorded conversation via their YouTube channel, where Harry can be heard sharing his feelings on leaving the royal family, his views on Donald Trump and his opinion on Prince Andrew’s involvement with Jeffery Epstein.
The pair claim to have spoken to the Prince on two occasions on the landline at his luxury home on Vancouver Island, Canada – the first, taking place on New Year’s Eve followed by another call on January 22.
In the tell-all interview, the comedians pressed the duke on leaving the royal family and life in the UK, to which he responded “Um, it’s, that’s probably a conversation for another time, there’s lots of layers to it and lots of pieces to the puzzle.”
“But sometimes the right decision isn’t always the easy one.
“And this decision certainly wasn’t the easy one but it was the right decision for our family, the right decision to be able to protect my son.
“And I think there’s a hell of a lot of people around the world that can identify and respect us for putting our family first.”
During the chat, Prince Harry also gave an insight into the chaos that surrounded his wife, Meghan Markle, revealing that “marrying a Prince or Princess is not all it’s made up to be.”
Asked by the fake ‘Greta’, he went on to share how he has coped with the pressure of dealing with the media over the years.
“For most, all of my life, I’ve always been part of a family and part of a country that is scared of the tabloid media because they have so much power and influence and no morals (chuckles),” reflected Harry.
“From the moment that I found a wife that was strong enough to be able to stand up for what we believe in together, has basically scared them so much that they’ve now come out incredibly angry, they’ve come out fighting, and all they will try and do now is try and destroy our reputation and try and, you know, sink us.”

Veering away from his own personal issues, the duke opened up about his views on climate change, comparing the climate crisis to a frog boiling slowly in hot water. Convinced he was speaking directly to Greta and her father, Harry commended the 17-year-old activist for her remarkable efforts, sharing that;
“Unfortunately the world is being led by some very sick people so the people like yourselves and younger generation are the ones that are going to make all the difference.”
As the conversation continued, the Duke of Sussex insisted that President Donald Trump had “blood on his hands” for ramping up coal production in the US.
“I think the mere fact that Donald Trump is pushing the coal industry is so big in America, he has blood on his hands.”
He also encouraged Greta to remain persistent in her fight for climate change action, despite Donald Trump’s alleged refusal to meet and discuss the issue.
“It’s far more important to have an open dialogue and have conversation with these people than not,” he said.
The Prince is yet to comment on the release of the phone hoax scandal.
