Several striking new images of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been released in line with TIME‘s 100 Most Influential People issue.
The two royals, known for keeping their lives as private as possible, appeared in a rare photoshoot for the magazine as they were named in the list—and most notably they were picked as the cover stars out of all 100.
It’s a momentous move from the couple, they’ve never before posed together in a magazine shoot, but they made an exception for this particular honour.
In the corresponding article, both Meghan and Harry were praised for their influence by the founder of the World Central Kitchen, José Andrés, who described them as “blessed through birth and talent, and burned by fame“.
“It would be much safer to enjoy their good fortune and stay silent,” he explained.
“That’s not what Harry and Meghan do, or who they are… In a world where everyone has an opinion about people they don’t know, the Duke and Duchess have compassion for the people they don’t know. They don’t just opine. They run toward the struggle.”
In the eye-catching portraits of the pair, captured by photographer Pari Dukovic, Meghan and Harry appear serious as they stand before the camera. In one image, Meghan wears a striking white suit.
In another, the Duchess looks chic as ever in an olive green turtleneck with her hair in a signature up-do.
In a third and final snap, the pair smile at each other as they walk through a garden of trees and plants.
This time, the Duchess wears a smart green overcoat.
This marks one of the first times we’ve seen the Duke and Duchess since welcoming their second child in June—a baby girl named Lilibet.
It’s understood the couple are laying low and focussing on raising their family in their Santa Barbara home first and foremost. While they do it, they’re working on various social causes and initiatives that sit within their foundation, named Archewell.
With a TIME cover now under their belt, there’s no doubt the Duke and Duchess are more empowered than ever to continue sparking change in areas that need it—a true reflection of Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana’s legacy.
