The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have taken the next step in establishing their new royal foundation – choosing a name for their joint organisation. Taking inspiration from their newly created Instagram page – @SussexRoyal – it has been confirmed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have named their organisation: Sussex Royal The Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The royal pair had previously been part of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s shared foundation, but the two couple’s made the decision to part ways in their charity work. The separate foundations, which was described as a “natural progression”, also follows the couple’s decision to split from the Kensington Palace court by creating two households.

CEO of The Royal Foundation Lorraine Heggessey has stepped down after two and a half years in the role.
The couple added: “We are very grateful for her hard work and support, and wish her the very best for the future.”
Harry and Meghan clearly felt the sentiment too. “It has been a great pleasure to work alongside Lorraine over the past couple of years, to champion the causes that we feel so strongly about, and we wish her well for the next stage of her career,” they said in a statement.
Currently, Harry and Meghan are planning their first royal tour with their 2-month-old son Archie. The couple will travel to South Africa and Harry will also visit Malawi, Angola and Botswana. The tour is scheduled for mid-September.
