The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have decided to keep details around the birth of their baby private, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.
The couple is expecting their first child later this month, with the due date believed to be in the coming weeks.
In a statement shared on Thursday morning, the Palace said: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby. Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”

Interestingly, though, the Royal Family website states operational notes such as this one released by the couple are released “5 to 10 days prior to the event.” So many are convince Baby Sussex is arriving any day now.
Traditionally, the arrival of a royal baby is followed by an appearance from the proud parents with their newborn outside the hospital. But according to one royal photographer, it’s unlikely to happen this time.
Tim Rooke, who has photographed all three of the Duchess of Cambridge’s babies outside the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s hospital in London, recently told Cosmopolitan US: “I don’t think we’re going to get the same thing with the Duchess of Sussex’s baby. I don’t think we’re going to see it at all. I think it’s going to be private.”
The palace’s announcement comes after it was confirmed Meghan and Prince Harry had officially moved out of Kensington Palace in London and into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.
