The second major royal wedding of 2018 is taking place in just a few days with Princess Eugenie of York set to tie the knot with fiancé, Jack Brooksbank, on Friday.
The ceremony, which will take place at Windsor Castle – the same venue where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wed on May 19th, will be attended by the entire royal family, including Queen Elizabeth, Prince William, Kate Middleton and the children and Harry and Meghan.
However, a new report is suggesting that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have to skip out on some parts of the celebrations, due to their upcoming royal tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Thankfully, on Friday, Harry and Meghan will be free to attend the ceremony, lunch reception and evening event on Friday, alongside their family and friends.
However, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have reportedly planned a second, “festival-inspired” party on Saturday, which the Duke and Duchess will likely have to skip due to their royal tour commencing on Monday the 15th.
As for this royal festival, “There will be dodgems and funfair rides, coconut shies, lots of food stalls, loads of cocktails, bloody Marys for the hangovers and a festival vibe,” a source told The Times.
Queen Elizabeth in a dodgem car? Now that’s something we’d pay to see.
