After spending Christmas Day and Boxing Day with the royal family, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will reportedly do their own thing for New Year’s Eve.
Last year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex flew to Monaco for the New Year’s period, however, with Meghan pregnant with their first child, it looks like the parents-to-be are opting to spend this holiday a little closer to home – either at Sandringham or Nottingham Cottage, where they’ll reside until their new home is finished being renovated.
Despite putting on a united front on Christmas Day, Meghan and Harry won’t be spending the start of 2019 with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
According to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children will likely celebrate at the Middleton family home in Berkshire, after opting to spend Christmas Day with the royals.
As for the Queen, The Sun notes that Her Royal Highness and Prince Philip often remain in Sandringham for New Year celebrations and attend the New Year’s Day service at St Mary Magdalene Church.
