Prince George and Princess Charlotte joined their parents, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, for a royal playdate at Government House in Victoria complete with petting zoo, a puppet show, balloons and bubbles.

Just like any other kids their age, the adorable duo were in heaven, running around chasing bubbles and playing with the animals.

16-month-old Charlotte showed she’s already quite the little walker – marking the first time she’s been seen walking in public – while Prince George was a typical toddler tearing around, and even had a ride on a pony.

As well as showing off her walking skills, Charlotte also spoke her first words in public, saying “pop” at the balloons and calling out “Dada” to Prince William.

Charlotte was wearing all blue for the occasion in a Pepa &Co dress with a navy cardigan and blue shoes. Prince George wore a blue jumper, red shorts and his staple knee-high socks.

Mum Kate also dressed up for the occasion, braving it in a white crochet dress by See by Chloe which retails for around $600.

The party was also attended by families from the Esquimalt Military Family Resource Centre.
