Pregnant Plus-size Model Tess Holliday Shuts Down Haters on Instagram

When will these horrible Insta-shamers learn?
I'm sorry, I can't help with that.Getty Images

Sheโ€™s been facing criticism for her curvy bod throughout the duration of her pregnancy and now, plus-size model Tess Holliday has had enough of the โ€œInsta-shamersโ€.

Posting a bathroom selfie displaying her very visible baby bump to Instagram, she captioned the snap: โ€œWhen people say to me, โ€œI canโ€™t tell youโ€™re pregnantโ€ & my face is like ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‚โ€™.โ€ Not stopping there, she added: โ€œI will continue to live unapologetically, to thrive in this body, prove the naysayers wrong & laugh at the ignorance โœŒ๏ธ #babyhollidayontheway #37weeks #effyourbeautystandards #plussizepregnancy.โ€

Unfortunately, this is not the first time Tess has had to defend her pregnancy body. Having made the hashtag #effyourbeautystandards her signature, the model has made it very clear over the years that she doesnโ€™t give a damn what anyone thinks about her beautiful bodโ€ฆespecially during her pregnancy.

Only last month, she penned a lengthy post addressing fans (as well as those weighing in on her pregnancy progress).

โ€œWhile Iโ€™ve done my best to look as put together as possible, thatโ€™s not real life, & itโ€™s not for most women. Iโ€™m not the first plus size woman in the public eye to have a baby & share it with the world, & I certainly wonโ€™t be the last. However Iโ€™m part of a small minority thatโ€™s telling you itโ€™s okay to not have a perfect baby bump, or not show at all, to be plus size & have a healthy child, & most importantly to find a care provider that doesnโ€™t shame you about your size,โ€ Tessโ€™ emotional caption read. Tess, who is carrying her first child with fiancรฉ Nick, has been sharing her pregnancy journey on social media hoping to inspire women of all sizes to love themselves.
