A photo has surfaced of US President Donald Trump alongside a reporter who accused him of sexual misconduct—days after he claimed he had “never met” many of his accusers.
Natasha Stoynoff was covering Trump and his pregnant wife at Mar-a-Lago for a PEOPLE magazine interview and photo shoot in December 2005 when she alleged Trump kissed her on the mouth against her will.
“Donald wanted to show me around the mansion. There was one ‘tremendous’ room in particular, he said, that I just had to see. We walked into that room alone, and Trump shut the door behind us,” she told PEOPLE in 2016.
“I turned around, and within seconds he was pushing me against the wall and forcing his tongue down my throat.”
However, the US President claimed on Twitter that he does not know the multiple women who have made allegations against him, writing: “the Democrats have been unable to show any collusion with Russia – so now they are moving on to the false accusations and fabricated stories of women who I don’t know and/or have never met”.
But now, PEOPLE has released a photograph showing Stoynoff with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. The photograph was taken on the exact same day she says the incident took place.
Coming to the President’s defence, the White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said Trump’s tweet had actually to different accusers at a press conference. As the Washington Examiner reports, Samantha Holvey, Jessica Leeds, and Rachel Crooks spoke out about Trump’s alleged sexual misconduct on Monday.
“The president is referencing the three individuals that were part of a press conference yesterday,” Sanders said. “And simply stating that you don’t know someone means that you don’t have a relationship with them.”
