In celebrity land, are you actually a real couple if you don’t have a celebrity nickname? Maybe not, so lucky then that newly engaged lovebirds Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have one, which Jonas kindly shared with fans when he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The 25-year-old singer and actor opened up about his recent engagement to 36-year-old Priyanka Chopra sharing details of the engagement and also their celebrity couple nickname.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Jonas revealed to the talk show host that after getting engaged the lovebirds “participated in a traditional Roka ceremony, which Jonas explained is a ‘confirmation from both sides of the family that they approve of the engagement.’”
“We both left that ceremony so full of joy,” Jonas told Fallon, while Chopra reportedly watched on from the audience. The Jealous singer also added that the ceremony really cemented the engagement for the couple saying, “We had this beautiful ceremony and we felt so connected, our families all met, it was spiritual and then we put it on Instagram, we were like ‘Oh my God! It’s official!’”
Jonas then showed off his stellar sense of humour in response to Fallon’s question about whether the couple had a celebrity nickname, saying that his fiancé is a fan of the nickname “Prick”.
In additional engagement news about the loved-up couple, Harper’s Bazaar reports Jonas and Chopra recently recreated Chopra’s very dear friend, Meghan Markle’s engagement photo shoot with Alexi Lubomirski.
The photographer, who captured the Duchess and Duke of Sussex’s official engagement portraits, snapped Chopra and Jonas at Ralph Lauren’s 50th anniversary fashion show at New York Fashion Week in the same pose the Duke and Duchess had for one of their snaps with Jonas sitting on the arm of a chair and Chopra leaning on him displaying her engagement rock.
