Less than two weeks after the Manchester Arena terror attack that left 22 dead and 59 injured, terrorists targeted London.
Seven people have been killed and a further 48 are in hospital following a white van ploughing into pedestrians on London Bridge, before the three men walked into bars and stabbed people at random.
The incident has been confirmed an act of terrorism and police have confirmed the three suspects have been shot dead.
Involved in the attack were two Australian tourists, Andrew Morrison and Candice Hedge.
Andrew, who was celebrating his last night in London before flying home to Australia, was stabbed in the neck during the attack.
In a dramatic video he posted online, the Darwin electrician can be seen holding a bloodied bandage to his throat while describing the events.
“A fight breaks out, I’m like, ‘S*** what’s going on here?’and I start to walk towards it,” he said.
“All of a sudden a guy walks up with a knife.”
“He got me but I dodged it, I ducked and weaved,” he said of the attack.
“He looked like, I hate it because, you know, I know the thing with Muslims and terrorism, but he looked like a f***ing Muslim terrorist.”
31-year-old Candice Hedge was reportedly out for dinner with her partner when a man came up behind her and cut her throat with a large knife, narrowly missing her windpipe and major arteries.
After briefly being in a coma, the young woman is now awake, and wrote to her family and friends on Facebook of the incident.
“Hey everyone, just so you know I’m doing ok. Bit of pain but I will survive,” she wrote.
“Thanks for your thoughts and well wishes. Love to all.”
A man from New Zealand and his girlfriend were also both injured during the attack.
Oliver Dowling and Marie Bondeville were having dinner at a popular restaurant when the men entered and began stabbing people. It is reported that Oliver is in a coma after being stabbed in the face, neck and stomach.
“Doctors are very happy with how he’s come out the other side,” his sister, Freddy, wrote on Facebook.
“A massive thank to the University of London Hospital for their tireless efforts in helping my brother out.”
Oliver’s girlfriend, Marie, was also injured in the attack, but her exact injuries are unknown.
