Miley Cyrus Just Added Another Tattoo To Her Collection And It’s A Literal Work Of Art

Miley Cyrus may boast over 50 tattoos in total but the singer has managed to find room for another (quite literal) piece of artwork inspired by Henri Matisse.

Yesterday, the singer shared a video close-up of her latest ink on Instagram alongside the lyrics to Leonard Cohen’s 1984 song Dance Me to the End of Love – which was later told through Matisse paintings in a book.

“Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin. Dance me through the panic till I’m gathered safely in,” she captioned the post. “Touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove. Dance me to the end of love. Matisse X Cohen.”

The black and white clip showcases Cyrus’ latest bicep-adorned ink, as she flexes her muscles to the camera.

It’s likely that the 27-year-old is referencing boyfriend Cody Simpson through the romantic lyrics, as he also got a tattoo from Los Angeles-based artist, Nico Bassill, during the sitting.

The Australian singer opted for a trident which symbolises Neptune in classical mythology – a tattoo designed to mark to his debut launch of poetry and prose under ‘Prince Neptune’.

The couple have been friends for several years and started dating last November – shortly after her split from former husband Liam Hemsworth.

To mark the divorce, Cyrus famously got a hand tattoo which spells out ‘freedom’.
