On December 23rd, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth finally tied the knot after 10 years together. Surrounded by close friends and family, the pair wed in their living room, the bride wearing an off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood wedding dress and the groom wearing a suit with sneakers.
Taking to Instagram, the newlyweds shared photos and videos of the celebration, including Miley dancing barefoot in her wedding dress.
While we could see from photos that the low-key celebration took place in someone’s house, reportedly Miley’s Nashville home, what we didn’t know until now was the inspiration behind the location.
Yesterday, Miley’s mum and dad, Tish and Billy Rae Cyrus, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with Tish taking to Instagram to share an image of their big day. The image reveals that not only did Miley opt to have the same sort of relaxed nuptials as her parents, but she also got married in her home – and more specifically, living room.
“25 years ago today @billyraycyrus and I stood in our living room in Franklin, TN and said ‘I Do,'” Tish captioned the picture. “I would definitely say everything has come full circle! I love u Lovey….. if I had to do it all again, I wouldn’t change a thing 💗 #happyanniversary.”
Photos from Miley and Liam’s wedding show the pair posing beside their fireplace, as well as cutting a tiered wedding cake in the kitchen with fairy lights and ‘Mr’ and ‘Mrs’ balloons behind them.
Furthermore, now Miley and Liam’s wedding anniversary is just five days before her parents. The best.
