Oops she did it again…

Back in July Melania Trump created a media storm when she gave a speech that was eerily similar to one that First Lady Michelle Obama gave in 2008.

It was embarrassing and awkward – but the memes were some of the best things to come out of the US presidential election.

But now it seems, she’s gone and done it again.

The potential future First Lady delivered a powerful line about her childhood and moving to America from Slovenia.

“It was a beautiful childhood. My parents were wonderful,” she said at a campaign event in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. “Of course we all knew about this incredible place called ‘America’.

“America meant, if you could dream it, you could become it.”

However it was this last line that triggered a journalists memory, recalling a 2011 interview with Marla Maples.

Who is Marla Maples you ask? Wait for it… Donald Trump’s second wife, who was married to the billionaire businessman in the 90s.

Awkward.

While the line could be seen to be rather generic, the fact that it was first delivered by Maples makes it all the more bizarre.

Thet wasn’t the only awkward moment during the speech however, Melania also called for an end to cyber bullying, vowing to be an advocate for women and children in her role as First Lady.

“As adults, many of us are able to handle mean words, even lies. Children and teenagers can be fragile,” she said.

“They are hurt when they are made fun of or made to feel less in looks or intelligence. This makes their life hard and forces them to hide and retreat.

“Our culture has gotten too mean and too rough, especially to children and teenagers.”

The irony of her comments not lost on Twitter, with users reminding her she is married to one.
