Just hours after the music video was released for her new single ‘Me Too’, Meghan Trainor took down the video due to her body being Photoshopped without her permission.
The singer famously sung about loving her curves and fighting back against Photoshop in her song ‘All About That Bass’, so as can be expected, she did not take this issue lightly. She took to Snapchat to explain the situation and apologised to her fans.
“Hey guys, I took down the ‘Me Too’ video because they Photoshopped the crap out of me,” she said in a series of videos. “I’m so sick of it and I’m over it, so I took it down until they fix it.
“My waist is not that teeny; I had a bomb waist that night! I don’t know why they didn’t like my waist, but I didn’t approve that video and it went out for the world, so I’m embarrassed.”
While Meghan Trainor has asked the video team to fix the video as soon as possible, in the meantime she will be going to Times Square and playing the song for her fans anyway.
“The video is still one of my favourite videos I’ve ever done, I’m very proud of it, I’m just pissed off that they broke my ribs!”
We would be too, Meghan. Fight the good fight!
