Just when the cynic in you is ready to write all celebrity relationships off as fake, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle come along and make you believe all over again.
The royal couple stepped out this week for the WellChild Awards in London and while talking with a 10-year-old girl named Scarlett who was being honoured at the awards for taking care of her sister, Prince Harry was seen affectionately stroking his wife’s back.
Cue the collective: aww.
Well while this might not seem a huge thing to some, royal protocol pretty much bans all forms of PDA – which is why you’ll rarely see Wills and Kate holding hands in public.
“She just seems to be gentle and sincere,” Sharon Booth, who was at the awards with her young daughter, Matilda, told People of meeting the Duchess. “They were just like normal people. Prince Harry said to her, ‘Are those flowers for me?’ ”

Harry and Meghan are throwing out the royal rule book and we love them for it.
From their very first appearance together way back in September 2017, the couple haven’t hidden their affection, often seen holding hands.
They even snuck a little PDA into Prince Louis’ christening photo.
And we can’t forget the full-on smooch at the polo back in July.
“The reason why we are fascinated by them is because they are so likable, and their love is so real,” body language expert and author Patti Wood, tells Refinery29.
“They each go to do the exact same touch to each other, and that leads to high marital satisfaction,” adds Wood. “That’s an incredibly good sign for them.”
