Meghan Markle is reportedly in New York for an impromptu trip to celebrate Baby Sussex’s impending arrival.
Page Six reports the Duchess of Sussex’s friends are throwing her a baby shower on February 19 somewhere on the Upper East Side, and Meghan’s best friend Jessica Mulroney is believed to be hosting the party.
Besides the many questions we want to pose (like, Did the Queen get invited? Will Harry be there? What’s the theme?), ahead of tomorrow’s celebration, Markle and a friend were spotted in Soho over the weekend, enjoying a few macaroons at Ladurée and shopping at nearby baby store Bonpoint. “They were having a lovely time, laughing and talking with each other,” an eyewitness told Us Weekly.

Baby showers are reportedly not celebrated for royal mums-to-be usually.
Royal expert Victoria Arbiter told The Sun, “A lavish baby shower would be seen as highly inappropriate. There’s nothing they can’t go out and buy themselves.”
However, there is a slight exception: an informal party with gifts provided only by Meghan’s inner circle.
