Since creating their profile in April 2019, the royal couple has made a point of highlighting charities and organisations they admire by only following 15 accounts at any given time. In their most recent announcement, it seems Meghan and Harry will be toning down that list even more, by only following one account each month!
As their caption read, “Happy New Year! For 2020 we will be continuing our tradition of highlighting accounts that inspire, and that remind us of all the good that is happening in the world. However, this time we will be focusing on just one account each month. For January, we would like to shine a spotlight on @goodnews_movement. This journalist run-page covers and celebrates acts of kindness and good news in our global community. We hope it brings you joy!”
The Good News Movement was founded by Michelle Figueroa, the Boston correspondent for CNN’s Spanish-speaking news service. Some of the posts on the account include a heartwarming story about a tech store providing a young student with a tablet and internet access and a photo of a 3-year-old who got her Christmas wish of her mother receiving a much-needed heart transplant.
Just when we thought it was impossible to love them anymore, they come out with this incredible initiative. Our faith in humanity has been restored.
