While the world remains on royal baby watch – it seems Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are indeed adding to their family, but with the addition of the four-legged kind.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly adopted a Labrador who is settling into life with the royal couple at their home in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.
“The dog is already happily ensconced at their cottage,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“Like the Sussexes, the dog will divide its time between the palace and their country home in the Cotswolds.”
The name of the newest member of the royal family is yet to be revealed.
Meghan and Harry are following in Prince William and Kate Middleton’s footsteps, who adopted pup Lupo shortly after their wedding in 2011.
Before meeting Prince Harry, Meghan was already a fur mum to her beloved pooches Bogart and Guy, while Meghan flew beagle Guy over to London when she moved, it was thought that Bogart was too old to make the journey.
In her pre-royal life Meghan would often post photos of her “loves” on her blog and on Instagram.
