Matt Damon opened up in an interview with GQ about working with Heath Ledger in 2005โs The Brothers Grimm.
The 45-year-old says he was in awe of Heathโs talent, and that he couldnโt believe what he experienced working on the movie with him.
โHe was too bright for this world,โ Matt said. โComing off [The Brothers Grimm, I was] telling everybody that I just worked with the best actor Iโve ever seen. And people were like, โWhat are you talking about? The guy from A Knightโs Tale?โ And I was like, โYou just wait. And wait until you see what kind of a director heโs gonna be.'โ

He was amazed by his talent, saying that it was unlike anything heโd seen before.
โThere were things that he did where I couldnโt have got there in three lifetimes. And there were ways in which he was like a puppy dog. You wanted to protect him.โ
When he heard about Heath Ledgerโs death, he was shocked and upset by how young heโd gone.
โ[His death was] just fucking pointless. I called Terry when I found out, and he was like, โIโm sitting here in Vancouver. Iโm looking out the window, and itโs a beautiful sunny day, and the lights are turning red, and the lights are turning green, and cars are stopping, and cars are driving. I am surrounded by mediocrity. And heโs gone.'โ
Julia Stiles, Mattโs co-star in the Bourne series also told the magazine about the time she and Matt met Prince.
โAfter The Bourne Ultimatum came out, there was a premiere in London. Prince actually came to it, then got tickets for the cast to come see him [perform],โ she said.
โWe were summoned into a room, to meet him [after the show]. Matt said, โSo you live in Minnesota? I hear you live in Minnesota.'โ
Matt added: โPrince said, โI live inside my own heart, Matt Damon.'โ
