“The Presley family, thank you guys for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me. Lisa Marie and Priscilla, I love you forever.”

Both Lisa Marie and Priscilla were visibly emotional during the actor’s speech, with Lisa Marie having previously shared her praise for the film in an Instagram post.

Who was Lisa Marie Presley?

Lisa Marie Presley was the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, who divorced when Lisa Marie was four years old.

Lisa Marie was only nine when her father died from a heart attack, and she became the joint heir to his estate with her grandfather, Vernon Presley, and great-grandmother, Minnie Mae Hood Presley. After their deaths, Lisa Marie became the sole heir.

Following in her father’s footsteps, Lisa Marie made a career in the music industry and released three successful albums of her own.

In 2005, Lisa Marie sold 85% of Elvis’s estate’s business holdings—essentially everything apart from the Graceland estate and the property within it. In 2018, the singer claimed that she was $16 million in debt, amid a divorce battle with Michael Lockwood.

But it wasn’t just her financial dealings that made the headlines. The singer was also closely affiliated with the Church of Scientology until 2014, when she reportedly grew discontent with the practice and left the church.

Lisa Marie’s love life has also never been dull. The singer has been married four times, tying the knot for the first time when she was just 20 years old, to Danny Keogh. Only 20 days after finalising her divorce from Keogh, Lisa Marie married Michael Jackson, whom she remained married to for two years.

After breaking off an engagement to singer John Oszajca, Lisa Marie then married Nicolas Cage. The marriage only lasted three months before Cage filed for divorce, and two years later, Lisa Marie married Michael Lockwood.

Lisa Marie shares two children with ex-husband, Danny Keough: actress Riley Keough and Benjamin Keough, who tragically passed away from a reported suicide in 2020, and twin daughters, Harper and Finley with ex-husband, Michael Lockwood.

How Did Lisa Marie Presley Die?

As previously mentioned, Lisa Marie’s official cause of death was cardiac arrest. There is no news of yet to when or where her funeral will be hosted, but Lisa Marie’s death is a tragic loss for Hollywood royalty.
