Ever since Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow and Ygritte Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie announced their engagement (with a quaint notice in the London Times, no less), we have been dying to a) find out more; b) see their wedding photos and c) get eyes on the rock.
Happily, we now have a) and c) covered off. Leslie has been spotted on her way to Heathrow Airport with some sizable bling on her ring finger – an enormous cushion-cut solitaire diamond:
Meanwhile, husband-to-be Harrington has gushed about his future wife on The Jonathan Ross Show, explaining how he was so excited to propose that he popped the question a day earlier than he intended.
“I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff, but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early,” Harrington explains.
After he’s confronted with the shocked expressions on his co-stars’ faces, Harrington continues with a slightly politer turn of phrase: “What I meant to say was, I popped my question a bit early. Not blew my load. Sorry, that’s a really bad expression.”
Jon Snow, we will forgive you anything.
