Kim Kardashian West has opened up about her terrifying Paris robbery in a confronting new episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The reality tv star – who was robbed at gunpoint, before being bound and gagged – has spoken for the first time since the attack in October 2016. Before the episode aired, she took to Twitter to reveal how she felt about sharing the story with fans.
“Tonight’s episode is going to be very tough for me,” she wrote on Twitter. “However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes & not in an interview where my own words could be twisted.”
In this week’s episode Kim recounted what happened and – warning – it’s deeply unsettling and quite hard to hear.
Kim revealed that she was lying in bed in her bathrobe when she heard footsteps coming towards her room, she called out believing it was her sister Kourtney Kardashian and their security guard Pascal. When she realised it wasn’t, she tried to call Pascal, before her door was slammed open and the phone was ripped out of her hand.
Two men dressed in police uniforms walked inside holding the hotel concierge, who was handcuffed and holding the key to the room. Kim was dragged out of her room into the hallway, when she realised what was happening she looked at the stairs to the lower level and considered running.
“I was looking at the gun, looking down back at the stairs,” she said. “I have a split second in my mind to make this quick decision. Am I going to run down the stairs and either be shot in the back — it makes me so upset to think about it? But either they’re going to shoot me in the back or if I make it and they don’t, if the elevator doesn’t open in time or the stairs are locked, then I’m f—ed. There’s no way out.”

Kim did not attempt to run, instead stayed and attempted to communicate with the robbers despite not being able to speak French.
“He duct tapes my face,” Kim continued, revealing she had been put back on her bed. “Like (duct tapes) my mouth, to get me to not yell or anything and then he grabs my legs – I had no clothes on under. He pulled me towards him at the end of the bed and I thought, ‘like OK, this is the moment, they are going to rape me’ and I fully mentally prepped myself and then they didn’t,” she tells the camera.
“Then he had the gun up to me and I knew that was the moment, they are totally going to shoot me in the head,” she continued. “I just prayed that Kourtney [Kardashian] is going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed.”
After her hotel room had been robbed, the criminals picked her up from the bed and put her in the bathtub.
