Just as Keeping Up With The Kardashians will come to an end this year, so too will the iconic pairing of KimYe. After months of speculation, Kim Kardashian has officially filed for divorce from Kanye West after six years of marriage.
According to TMZ, the reality star and KKW Beauty mogul Kim Kardashian filed on Feb. 20. The outlet is describing the separation as “amicable,” with both Kardashian and West having reportedly agreed to joint legal and physical custody of their four children together, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
TMZ further reports the couple have a prenuptial agreement prepared and neither is contesting it. Both Kardashian and West have yet to publicly acknowledge or make a statement regarding the end of their marriage.
A source previously told E! News that Kardashian had known her marriage was over for some time. “It’s gotten to the point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months,” the source said. “They’ve seen each other for the sake of the kids but have been living separately. Kim knows the marriage is over. She’s known for a while.”
Last month, Page Six reported Kardashian had hired esteemed attorney Laura Wasser for what will no doubt be one of Hollywood’s biggest divorces.
“They are keeping it low-key but they are done,” a source told the outlet. “Kim has hired Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks.”
West, 43, seems to have been residing at his remote Wyoming ranch during the Christmas period rather than being with his family, while Kardashian, 40, has been with her family, spotted on multiple occasions without her wedding ring.
