Despite being one of the show’s most unlikely pairings, they quickly captured viewers hearts, but now they have announced their break up, and Keira has hinted that it was not an amicable split.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, a heartbroken Keira confirmed that the pair has gone their separate ways.

“I’m sorry if anyone is disappointed or I have let anyone down,” a heartbroken Keira shared, before adding, “Please respect our privacy as this is a very hard time for me”.

According to the Daily Mail, in a since-deleted comment on the post, Keira hinted that her ex might have been interested in fame than “true love.”

“I’m sorry this has happened,” a fan wrote on her post. “I thought you two were good for each and brought out the best in [each] other. However, he was more interested in finding true love than becoming part of a power insta couple.”

Keira then replied to the comment, writing, “Yeah, that’s what I throughly too.” Assuming she meant to write “thought” not “throughly.”

It’s unclear what she was referring to exactly, but the fact that she has since deleted it also says alot.

The couple have also since unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Jarrod is yet to comment on the split.

Keira and Jarrod were together for nine months, emerged from BIP one of the strongest couples, and quickly moved in together and had even talked of marriage and babies.

The couple were an unlikely pairing, with Keira emerging as “the villain” on her season of The Bachelor with Richie Strahan while Jarrod was dubbed the “stage-five clinger” when he became runner-up on The Bachelorette with Sophie Monk.

Speaking back in May, Keira admitted that the couple found it difficult to watch the show back.

“We did struggle, and we did have a few blow outs over the show,” she tells Cosmopolitan. “It definitely wasn’t easy and we’re not going to deny it. Our relationship did struggle a little bit, but we’re stronger than ever now.”

“I don’t think people understand how hard it is. Not only do you have to watch it back, but you have to relive it. It creates this really negative environment, which really isn’t healthy. And then you’ve got to then relay and talk about it in interviews.

“You have to kind of take yourself back, because all the interviews are based around what was happening on the show, so you are reliving those moments — which were so difficult. You do get caught up in it all.”

Despite the strain the show put on their relationship, the couple appeared stronger than ever with Keira packing up her life in Sydney to live with Jarrod in Melbourne, and the pair split their time between the city and his family Vineyard.

“When you love someone, though, it doesn’t really get in the way. I spent most of my weeks here anyway — I’d go to the farm, help out in the kitchen, and it just felt right. It was a really easy adjustment. And now we live together!”
