Though she’s one of the most famous kids in Hollywood, for the past few years Suri Cruise has remained largely out of the spotlight.
But over the weekend, the 11-year-old looked completely comfortable as she took to the stage with her mum in front of thousands of people.
The lookalike mother-daughter duo introduced the final act of the Jingle Ball concert in NYC: Taylor Swift.
“She’s one of our favourite performers,” Katie began, “Who is it, tonight?” she aimed at her daughter. Suri then enthusiastically exclaimed “Taylor Swift!”
Earlier this year, Katie opened up about wanting to give Suri a ‘normal’ childhood, saying: “My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now.”
“It’s very important that I’m present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there’s nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed,” the 38-year-old told Town & Country magazine.
The mother-of-one also talked about how watching Suri grow up and become her own, independent person. “Every day, kids get a little further away from you. That’s a positive thing. They should be becoming more independent, but it’s heartbreaking,” she said.
“You want them to stay with you forever, but they’re these amazing beings, and you have to do everything you can to give them what they need — and then they’re going to go. And that’s going to be very, very sad for me.”
