Prince William And Kate Middleton Are Reportedly Upset By The Sussexes Interview With Oprah

The news comes as Harry and Meghan farewell their royal duties for good

With news of their permanent exit from the royal family and a second baby on the way, there’s plenty Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have to talk about—which is exactly why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have tasked legendary television host, and longtime friend, Oprah Winfrey to set the record straight.

The interview, set to air on March 7, will see “Winfrey speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure,” CBS said in a statement to Harper’s BAZAAR U.S.

Now, Us Weekly has spoken to a source about how Kate Middleton and Prince William feel about the “candid” discussion about their experiences as working members of the royal family.

Of course, if the source is to be believed, the Cambridges are not happy—in fact, the source said the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are “appalled” by the entire situation. “It’s just beyond the pale for William and Kate, especially in light of the dreadful timing with [Prince] Philip in the hospital. They are utterly aghast,” the source said.

Last week, Prince Philip was taken to King Edward VII Hospital as a “precautionary measure” after feeling unwell for several days, with Buckingham Palace confirming the Duke of Edinburgh was “comfortable and responding to treatment”.

According to reports, Meghan and Oprah will take up most of the one-on-one interview, with Prince Harry joining in further on to offer insights. And while the couple has remained rather tight-lipped about their recent life decisions, they plan to speak “about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family,” says the press release.
