Kate Middleton’s Latest Outfit Is A Lesson In Muted Monochrome

It's not the first time you've seen it this season.

Figuratively speaking, Kate Middleton’s royal life is anything but beige—but her latest outfit certainly is, stylishly so.

Indeed, if there was anyone who could make a muted, monochrome outfit look vibrant, it’s the Princess of Wales. After a three week hiatus, Kate stepped out in Scarborough alongside husband Prince William on November 3 wearing an all-beige ensemble featuring a Max&Co camel overcoat, a knitted midi-length dress and a brown belt by Boden. She carried a small beige DeMellier bag to finish the look.

Kate is no stranger to a monochrome ensemble, but we haven’t seen her rock beige like this before. Interestingly, the trend appears to be spreading through the A-list. If you’ve watched Netflix’s new psychological thriller series, The Watcher, you’ll no doubt have noticed Naomi Watts’ character often wearing all-white or all-beige ensembles too. Looks like we know what pieces we’ll be investing in this season.

The royals’ visit to Scarborough was to launch a £345,000 funding boost that will support young people’s mental health via The Royal Foundation and the Two Ridings Community Foundation.

While there, they visited a community hub that hosts local organisations including those that support young people who are struggling.

Crowds of locals gathered to see the royals as they made their way to the engagement, with Kate and William smiling and waving to onlookers as they passed. At one point, we even got a quick (and rare) PDA moment as Kate put her arm around Williams waist.

We’ll likely see the royals sporadically over the next few weeks in the lead up to Christmas, as is tradition for The Firm who partake in numerous festive engagements. We wonder what colour Kate will do next…
