While the world was distracted with the scenes from the 2021 Met Gala, Kate Hudson was quietly debuting some new, and very important bling.
The 42-year-old actress announced her engagement to her longtime partner Danny Fujikawa shortly before hitting the Met Steps on Monday, September 13.
Sharing a sweet picture of the pair to her Instagram, Kate simply wrote: “Let’s go!” accompanied by several wedding emojis.
Not long after, she attended the Met Gala in a stunning light pink Michael Kors ensemble with her new engagement ring on show.
Kate’s stunning square-cut diamond was the perfect addition to her all-pink get-up, which featured a cropped spaghetti strap top with a matching skirt.
She paired it with a pink feathered coat and finished the look with a glowy pink makeup look—exuding some serious early noughties prom energy in the process.
Kate and her partner Danny have known each other for more than a decade, but they didn’t start dating until 2016.
“He’s my best friend’s stepbrother,” Kate previously told The Talk.
“We kinda skipped through the part of knowing what the hiccups were. You kinda skip the part of going, ‘Oh, you’re like that?'”
In 2018, Kate and Danny welcomed their first child together—a baby girl called Rani.
Kate also has two other children from previous relationships: Ryder and Bingham.
We’ve no doubt the pair will have quite the bridal party to celebrate their marriage with. Congratulations to the soon-to-be newlyweds!
