Johnny Depp has broken his silence just three days after Amber Heard filed for divorce. The following statement was released by his rep;
“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent trend and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the spacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life,” the rep said in a statement to Us Weekly. “Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”
Amber filed for divorce just days after his mother’s passing. There are reports that no pre-nup was arranged with Johnny Depp’s fortune being estimated at over $400 million.
While rumours have circulated about the causes behind the divorce – including due to their strong personalities not getting along, and Amber not getting along with Johnny’s mother – neither Johnny nor Amber has commented on this matter. Amber is yet to comment on the divorce.
