John Travolta is currently in Australia for the Supernova Comic Con & Gaming and he hasn’t come alone. His daughter Ella, 19, and son Benjamin, 8, are with him, although his wife Kelly Preston appears to have stayed at home in the US.
While down under, the family did what all good tourists do, they went and cuddled a koala. John shared a family photo of the three of them at Featherdale Wildlife Park standing beside a koala.
“At the @featherdalewildlifepark with the kids,” he wrote in the caption.
He also shared a video of himself singing ‘Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport’ in his best Aussie accent to a group of kangaroos.
And that wasn’t all. The next video was with one of Featherdale’s zookeepers, who had a little crocodile in her hand. This time, John played Bobby Charles’ 1955 song, “See You Later Alligator”, as he danced and lip-synced along.
Ella also shared an Instagram photo of herself holding a baby kangaroo.
A few days prior, John shared a photo of Benjamin sitting in the cockpit of a QANTAS plane. “My son Ben is taking my place! His first A380 @qantas flight,” he wrote in the caption.
Ella Travolta has followed in her parents’ footsteps and has recently co-starred in a film with her dad, The Poison Rose. Rather than feel nervous acting in front of her father, Ella told The Talk she found it very reassuring.
“It actually helped so much knowing that he was there. He would come up in between scenes… and then I would know that I had him behind the monitor, just watching, making sure it was good.”
John admitted on the show that he was a bit of a stage dad. “I am ridiculous. I’m behind the camera mouthing every word she says, doing her moves,” John said. “My wife, Kelly gets hysterical watching me watch her because I just want it to go great.”
The Poison Rose is the second film Ella and John have starred in together. When Ella was nine she made her movie debut in Old Dogs alongside her dad and Robin Williams.
