Bennifer has struck again, but this time, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have taken their supposed romance to the other side of the country.
As per People, there are new photos taken of the pair on May 23 while on a trip to Miami, where sources described Lopez as “all smiles”. Their latest coastal rendezvous comes mere days after a source told Us Weekly that the pair had returned to Los Angeles, after being spotted in Montana.
“They have kept in touch every day since their Montana trip,” the source said. “Jennifer is doing well. She seems very happy and excited about her future.”
Back in April, the two first sparked reunion rumours after they were spotted together near Lopez’s Los Angeles home. However, sources at the time claimed that their time together was strictly platonic, saying:
“They are friends…. They’ve never not been,” a source revealed to Page Six.
But naturally, circumstances changed after reports surfaced in early May about the famous exes’ trip to Big Sky, Montana.
“She had a great time with Ben,” a source said, per People. “She is happy with him and enjoys spending time with him.” Another insider added, “[Jennifer] spent several days with Ben out of town. They have a strong connection. It’s all been quick and intense, but Jennifer is happy.”
Having recently announced her split from Alex Rodriguez, Lopez and Affleck’s reunion comes 17 years after they called off their engagement in 2004. And now, the pair look to have reunited and are become more and more serious as time goes on.
“She wants to give it a shot with Ben,” a source said, as per E!. “They never really had closure, and she has always wondered what could have been. The timing was never right and they were in different places until now.”
“[Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez] have always stayed in touch and had a strong connection… She finally has had the opportunity to spend time with him and see where this could lead. They are very comfortable together and it’s easy. She wants to keep seeing him and is very happy.”
And while the world waits with bated breath for a loved-up announcement, it turns out that even Hollywood A-listers close to the pair are hoping for the same outcome. Matt Damon, who’s rather close to Affleck, has also publicly hoped for a reunion.
“I hope it’s true. I love them both. I hope it’s true,” he admitted on an interview with Today on May 11. “That would be awesome.”
Until then, the world can only wait patiently for the pair to make the announcement. And in the meantime, we’ll be watching the “Jenny From The Block” music video and imagining part two of their loved-up yacht romance.
