Jennifer Lawrence is no stranger to a glamorous, red carpet moment, but after a short hiatus from the public eye you couldn’t blame us for feeling somewhat deprived. Well, until this weekend when Lawrence kicked off her press tour for upcoming film, Causeway.

The film is Lawrence’s first major project after she welcomed her first child with husband Cooke Maroney earlier this year, and while we had a smattering of red carpet looks in between, it seems the Oscar winner is well and truly back on the train.

Attending the BFI London Film Festival on October 9, Lawrence looked radiant in a black sheer dress by Del Core featuring pearl beading across its length. She wore her hair in a waved up-do and added matching pearl earrings. She finished the look with smokey, dramatic eye makeup.

A day earlier, Lawrence was pictured leaving London’s Mayfair Hotel wearing a chic black fitted dress featuring a boat neckline and capped, loose sleeves. She wore the same pearl drop earrings.

Earlier that day, Lawrence was snapped in another 10/10 get-up after she attended a Q&A at Picturehouse Central.

Lawrence has also been more vocal as she promotes her new film, revealing that she felt a “loss of control” when she was first navigating fame after the release of The Hunger Games.

“I think I lost a sense of control. Between The Hunger Games coming out and winning the Oscar,” she said in the interview with Variety

“I became such a commodity that I felt like every decision was a big, big group decision. When I reflect now, I can’t think of those following years, [because there was] just a loss of control.”

She’s taken a step back from acting in recent years, with almost two years between her 2019 film, Dark Phoenix and her next film in 2021, Don’t Look Up.

She said her job now feels “personal for me the first time in a long time”.
