It’s official: with three episodes left of its third season, The Handmaid’s Tale has been renewed for another installment. The award-winning Hulu original series, which stars Elisabeth Moss, Alexis Bledel and Australian actress Yvonne Strahovski, is based off the novel of the same name by Margaret Atwood and has now become the most watched show on the streaming service.
Despite June (Elisabeth Moss) forgoing her one chance at escaping Gilead at the end of season two so that she could attempt to save her daughter Hannah, so far in season three the show’s main character has had no success. While millions still tune in each week, critics are saying the series is caught in a loop and has become repetitive with Variety’s Caroline Framke saying The Handmaid’s Tale chooses to “hammer home its greatest hits to the detriment of the possible new avenues it could explore.”

Thankfully, there’s a whole new season coming wherein June can finally find Hannah, be reunited with Lucas and wreck havoc Gilead – if only it was going to be that easy.
