This year’s Forbes Most Powerful Women list looks quite different to in previous years – and we love it.
Forbes announced that they would be making a conscious effort to cut down on the amount of celebrities in the list – and this was mainly done by cutting the Celebrities category. So don’t expect to see Taylor Swift and Angelina Jolie!
Instead, you’ll see entrepreneurs, CEOs, political leaders, scientists and philanthropists around the world who are making a difference.
At the very top, there’s Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany, for her work guiding Germany through a recession and making the bold decision to let 1 million refugees in from Syria and other Muslim countries in the last few years, she has shown courage and leadership.
Other women in the top 10 include US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, General Motors CEO Mary Barra and CEO of YouTube at Google, Susan Wojcicki.
