Australian comedian Celeste Barber, whose personal fundraising efforts raised over $50 million, hosted the incredible event. “It’s been such a hectic time. As Aussies, we bear together and look after each other — because it turns out the people at the top don’t,” Barber told the crowd.

The concert, which attracted more than 70,000 people, raised more than $8.8 million. Queen and Adam Lambert were among some of the incredible musical guests, as was Delta Goodrem, Jessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian. The line-up also included Canadian singer Michael Buble, Olivia Newton-John, John Farnham, k.d lang, Tina Arena, and Alice Cooper.

Mauboy told the crowd, “You must be thinking that we are powerless to change things but don’t give up ‘cause we got love…love is stronger than fire.”
