Today just got a little brighter thanks to Fendi. And it’s not just because their new handbag literally looks like sunshine – it smells heavenly too. Fendi just launched the world’s first fragrance-infused handbags and it’s the fashion accessory you never knew you needed.

“An exclusive, multi-sensory experience in the making: introducing the #FendiFrenesiaBaguette in scented Selleria leather, created in collaboration with the world-renowned French perfumer @franciskurkdjian,” Fendi said on its Instagram.

In the limited edition collection, which launched this month, there are three bright yellow-and-white iterations of Fendi’s iconic Baguette handbag, which was originally designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi in 1997. There’s a classic Baguette size, a slightly larger version, and a nano bag. And they’re all made with Selleria leather that has been infused with the brand’s new fragrance, FendiFrenesia.

Silvia explained the inspiration behind the concept: “A bag is something so feminine, like the best friend of a woman, she holds all her life in it, her secrets. And a fragrance is something that is really one of the most personal things for a woman.”

The scent has been created by master perfumer Francis Kurkdijan and is a “leathery and musky” fragrance that will last up to four years!

The bags also come with a mini bottle of the FendiFrenesia perfume, so you can spritz it on yourself to complement your new-fave accessory – or spray it on to the hidden card inside the bag to enhance the scent.

Here’s the catch: You can only get the nano Baguette bag via Fendi’s US and Europe online stores, and only until December 20, unless it sells out sooner – and you know it will.

The rest of the collection is available for a limited time at the Fendi boutique in the Miami Design District.

Prices start at £430 for the Scented Nano Baguette.
