Emma Watson’s legal team have taken action against sites that have uploaded private photos of the Beauty and the Beast star to the dark web.
BBC News reports that multiple social media sites have claimed to view the photos.
Emma Watson’s team have confirmed that the photos have been leaked, but say that they are not naked photos.

One of Emma Watson’s reps told BBC News, “Photos from a clothes fitting Emma had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen. They are not nude photographs.
“Lawyers have been instructed and we are not commenting further.”
The message board that claims to have seen the photos also suggests that other photos emerged of Amanda Seyfried and other stars at the same time.
The star also caused controversy when she posed semi-naked for Vanity Fair, and she responded to the criticism that this wasn’t ‘feminist’ by saying feminism was about ‘choice’.

This isn’t the first time Emma Watson has been threatened with the leak of private photos – she faced the same thing in 2014 after she gave a speech on gender equality that prompted someone to say they would release naked photos of the star.
Two men were also recently sentenced for the nude photo hack that released private pics of Jennifer Lawrence, Ariana Grande, and Kate Upton online.
Emma Watson is set to star in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, coming to cinemas March 23.
