Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are famous for subtly referencing Princess Diana through their well-documented style, so it came as no surprise that Elizabeth Debicki, who plays the late People’s Princess in the fifth season of The Crown, has followed suit.
For the London premiere of the highly anticipated new season, Debicki wore a stunning floor-length black Dior dress, featuring a sleeveless, fitted bodice and matching scarf draped high across her neck. The look was reminiscent of Princess Diana’s famous baby-blue Catherine Walker gown which she wore to the Cannes Film Festival in 1987. The cinematic connection here isn’t lost on us, and clearly, Debicki deemed it the perfect way to pay tribute to the late royal.
Of course, Debicki wasn’t the only Crown cast member who captured our attention at the premiere. Imelda Staunton, who plays Queen Elizabeth II in the new season, opted for a full suit and tie combination, while Olivia Williams, who plays Camilla Parker Bowles, was radiant in red from top to bottom.
Below, enjoy the best looks from the premiere—the only way to pass the time before the fifth season drops tonight on Netflix
Imelda Staunton and Jonathan Pryce, who play Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in The Crown, were a colour coordinated vision.
Olivia Williams, AKA Camilla Parker Bowles, opted for a ravishing red monochrome ensemble.
